Text2Speech App Reviews

Pause button needed

A pause button would be very handy, or have the start button start speaking where the cursor is. This program lacks any substantive features that would make it better. I do not know what the pro does, but it didn’t look like much either. Stable and works great if all you need is a place to paste from clipboard and click start speaking (or load from file).

Impresive

I used a bunch of words that were pronounced differenty in different situations like wound (injury) and wound like a clock, and it could differentiate them in the same sentence. I was very impressed. That and some of the voices are just way too much fun.

Could use more

This app does do the same as the on board text to speech program on the mac os mountain lion. Just adding a pause and resume would make it so much better. It does work as it states.

Awewome

Love all the voices! My favorite is "Good News"!!!! THANKS

This program is great!

I am a student and have lecture notes to read… I love this. I just copy and paste them into the screen and it is like listenting to my instructor, plus I can read along with the voice. It sounds to realistic and pauses just when it needs. I can pause it when I need to meditate on something a little deeper and then just start it back up again. I can also regulate the speed of the voice. I am so grateful… I am going to recommend this to my classmates at the university. Thanks so much for such a great program… and it is free!

Braids

I found Alex to be the only voice that i can take seriously, but I absolutly love this app.

crashes when opened

Tried to download the newest version 1.31, but after installing I cant seem to run the program. Everytime I open the app it crashes on me. Why is that?

This program met my needs.

I am in the process of writing an eArticle. Listening to the text is a great way to find errors. I was able to find an error right away. Thanks

Awesomeness!!

This is a great program. Very easy to use and completely understandable. You can change the speed at which the text is spoken as well as the voice. Very cool.

Crashes

Yeah, Im having the same issue. It continues to crash every time I try to open it.

Excellent

I just love when an App is simple and does what is supposed to. That is the case with Text2Speech. I have been using it for a long time to read books for me and works great. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Work fine with me :)

Yes , it works fine with me .. smoe time you may need to pause and continue :) my OS = X Lion 10.7.3

Crashes

Crashes on launch - re-installed - no change:(

More Voices

When I got this app, I was sick and couldnt talk. I looked through all of the voices they had and they all sounded manufactured. If they could make more voices that would be great but other than that the app was okay.

REALLY??!!

ok. i just downloaded it, and its crashing. It wont even open. this app would be great, if it worked!

Does what it says

Works great for me. No crashes here. OSX 10.8.4. Its just a super-simple and straightforward text-to-speech app, taking advantage of Max OSs built-in text-to-speech voices.

Wont read then crashes

It keeps crashing. It used to work great. Now it only crashes.

like, but...

I like this app. But, it wont change the rate of speed to as slow as it claimed it is. Tried to contact support, they were of no help. So disappointed.

Love this app

I use this app often and it works great. The volume seems very low.

Works Great

I find it helpful if you are writting papers, and you want to make sure your point it being made.
